About Chad L.

Chad L. Steskal built his legal foundation at the University of Central Florida, where he completed a Bachelor of Science degree before moving to Miami for law school. He earned his J.D. at the University of Miami and stayed on to complete an LL.M. in Taxation. That advanced tax degree informs much of his work and shapes how he approaches complex financial and regulatory questions.

Early in his career Steskal concentrated on tax matters and related areas of practice in Florida. He gained experience advising clients on federal and state tax rules, and on the interplay between tax advice and business decisions. His academic training in taxation allowed him to move quickly into matters that require technical analysis, including transactional tax issues and compliance questions that affect both individuals and companies.

Over time he expanded the scope of that practice to include tax planning and dispute resolution. He prepares tax planning strategies, assists with compliance obligations, and represents clients in levels of tax controversy. His work typically involves interpreting statutory language, applying IRS guidance, and structuring transactions to achieve clearly stated tax outcomes. He handles both routine compliance and more complex transactional assignments that have tax consequences.

Steskal is licensed to practice in Florida. He conducts his practice from two offices in South Florida. One is located in Causeway Square in North Miami. The other is in Mizner Park in Boca Raton. Both locations operate by appointment only, and he meets clients there for consultations, planning sessions, and document review.

Colleagues and clients describe his style as detail-oriented and methodical. He tends to break large problems into discrete tax and legal issues, then addresses each in turn. That approach can make complex topics more manageable for people who are not tax professionals. He also works with outside accountants and financial advisors when matters call for a multidisciplinary response.

He contributes to casework through thorough analysis of tax statutes and regulations, careful drafting of transactional provisions, and attention to deadlines and reporting requirements. He remains current on changes to tax law and IRS guidance as they affect planning opportunities and compliance risks.

He currently practices tax law in Florida from offices in North Miami and Boca Raton by appointment only.
