About Braelyn
Braelyn Saumure completed her undergraduate degree at the University of South Florida in 2019 and earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 2022. She moved through law school during a period of rapid change in legal education. She left Miami Law prepared to practice in Florida and ready to begin her professional career.
Saumure was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2022 and took a position in private practice soon after. She joined Chepenik Trushin LLP as an associate. The move placed her in a firm environment where junior attorneys handle a variety of tasks and are expected to contribute quickly to active matters.
In her role at Chepenik Trushin LLP, Saumure has worked on the day-to-day responsibilities common to associates. She undertakes legal research, prepares drafts of pleadings and motions, and assists in client communications and case preparation. She appears before colleagues and, when appropriate, before decision-makers involved in matters the firm handles. Her work supports more senior attorneys while giving her regular exposure to the procedural and substantive demands of litigation and transactional practice within the state.
Saumure’s membership in The Florida Bar has been current since 2022. That membership grounds her practice in the state’s rules and professional norms. She participates in firm meetings and continuing legal education to stay aligned with developments in Florida law. Outside of billable work she contributes to the internal workflow at her firm, helping to coordinate research efforts and document preparation for ongoing matters.
Those who have worked with Saumure describe her as precise in drafting and consistent in meeting deadlines. She approaches tasks methodically and balances casework with the administrative duties associates often carry. Her education at South Florida and Miami Law provided the academic foundation, and her early years at Chepenik Trushin LLP have supplied practical experience and courtroom awareness.
Her current practice is as an associate at Chepenik Trushin LLP in Florida, where she handles matters on behalf of the firm’s clients.
