About Susan

Susan Tylar began her legal education at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where she earned her Juris Doctor. She moved from law school into practice without fanfare. Her training at Hofstra set a foundation in both courtroom procedure and transactional work.

She built her career at The Bell Law Group. Over time she rose through the ranks and now serves as a partner. In that role she handles client matters, mentors junior lawyers and helps shape firm strategy. Colleagues describe her as steady and practical in the day-to-day demands of firm life.

Tylar is admitted to practice in both Connecticut and New York. She holds active memberships in the New York State Bar and the Connecticut State Bar. Those dual admissions allow her to assist clients whose matters cross state lines or involve issues in both jurisdictions.

Her caseload reflects work that arises under Connecticut and New York law. She represents individuals and businesses on a range of matters that require navigation of state rules and procedures. She prepares filings, negotiates settlements and appears in court when needed. She also consults on matters that require familiarity with both statutory and regulatory frameworks in the two states.

Inside the office, Tylar is known for an even-keeled approach. She prioritizes clear communication and practical options. She takes time to explain the legal steps and to map out likely outcomes. That approach helps clients understand timing, costs and possible resolutions.

Beyond client work, she participates in the professional life of the bar through her memberships. She attends bar events, takes part in continuing legal education and maintains the licensing requirements in both states. Her practice benefits from staying current on changes to state law and procedure.

Today she is a partner at The Bell Law Group, maintaining the firm’s presence in Connecticut and New York. Her current practice focuses on representing clients in legal matters that arise under Connecticut and New York law.
