About Steve Saeid
Steve Saeid Zand is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1989. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Zand is the principal attorney at the Law Offices of Steve S. Zand, a law firm located at 16130 Ventura Blvd., Suite 650, Encino, CA 91436. He has been practicing law for over 36 years, serving clients throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
Mr. Zand earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge, in 1986. He then pursued his Juris Doctor degree at the University of La Verne College of Law, graduating in 1989. During his time at the University of La Verne, he was recognized as Professor of the Year in 1999-2000 and 2005-2006. He is also a Certified Family Law Specialist, certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.
Mr. Zand concentrates his practice in the areas of family law and criminal law. He represents individuals in matters involving divorce, child custody and support, spousal support, property division, domestic abuse, and mediation. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts. He is licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Throughout his career, Mr. Zand has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. In addition to his private practice, he has served as an adjunct professor of law at the University of La Verne College of Law since 1997 and as the Dean of Students at the San Fernando Valley campus in 1999. He is currently a full-time Professor of Law at the University of West Los Angeles College of Law, where he teaches courses in Community Property, Advanced Community Property, Family Law, Torts, and Lawyering Skills Practicum.
Mr. Zand is an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the California State Bar Association. He holds membership in the American Bar Association Section of Litigation. He is also a certified mediator through the Los Angeles County Superior Court mediation program. Mr. Zand is fluent in English and Persian, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Los Angeles County effectively.
