About Meshi
Meshi Chitrit earned her J.D. from Southwestern Law School through the SCALE 2-Year Accelerated Program. She completed an intensive curriculum in a compressed timeframe, finishing law school while balancing the demands of an accelerated schedule. The program shaped her approach to legal work: fast-paced, exacting and practical.
Early in her legal journey she sought hands-on experience. In 2022 she volunteered as a COAS volunteer at the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law and served as a legal clerk volunteer at the Frank D. Lanterman Regional Center. Those roles placed her in direct contact with clients and advocacy work, and exposed her to family law issues and matters affecting regional center clients.
In 2023 she served as a judicial clerk at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse. That year inside the courthouse offered regular exposure to courtroom procedure, calendar management and written rulings. The clerkship gave her a front-row view of how judges weigh evidence and apply procedural rules.
Also in 2023 she began practicing at Meshi Chitrit Berman (MCB) Law. Her role there is listed as lawyer. She has handled matters that draw on her time in family law settings and on her courtroom experience. The transition from volunteer and clerk positions into private practice came quickly, reflecting the accelerated pace of her legal training.
Chitrit maintains an active professional presence. She holds memberships in the American Association of Jewish Lawyers and Jurists, the Beverly Hills Bar Association, the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Jewish Bar Association of San Francisco, the Federal Bar Association and California Women Lawyers. She also lists other current memberships. Those associations provide a forum for continuing education and for staying current on developments in state and federal practice.
Her practice draws on a mix of courtroom exposure, volunteer advocacy and clerking experience. She frames legal problems practically and aims to move matters through established procedures efficiently. She currently practices in California at Meshi Chitrit Berman (MCB) Law, where her work includes family law matters and issues related to regional center clients.
