About Robert F Gruler
Robert F Gruler Jr. grew up outside the courtroom but found his way to it early in his career. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Arizona State University in 2004 and later completed his J.D. at Arizona Summit Law School in 2012. Those credentials set the stage for a practice rooted in criminal defense and appellate work.
He began practicing law in the early 2010s. His first listed firm role was as an associate at Corso & Rhude in 2010. That experience gave him exposure to trial work and client advocacy. He later appears on record as an associate at Guy Brown Lawyers in 2014. The same year he opened his own firm, R&R Law Group.
Opening a firm shifted his role from employee to principal. As owner of R&R Law Group, he took on the administrative duties that come with running a small practice. He continued to handle cases he had argued as an associate. Running a boutique office required balancing client work with case strategy and case management.
Gruler is admitted to practice in Arizona and before the Federal Circuit. He joined the National Council of DUI Defense in 2014 and remains a member. That affiliation aligns with his regular handling of DUI-related matters and related criminal-defense issues. His courtroom work ranges from local hearings to matters that may require federal appellate attention.
His career path reflects common routes for trial lawyers who move into private practice after staff roles. Time at established firms provided courtroom and client experience. Ownership of R&R Law Group has allowed him to choose the matters he takes on and to maintain a steady practice in criminal defense and appeals.
Colleagues and clients describe him as straightforward in court and attentive to procedural detail. He tends to take on cases that require close attention to evidence and post-conviction options, as well as appeals that reach higher courts. He maintains his practice in Arizona and continues to accept cases that involve both state criminal defense and federal appellate work.
He currently operates R&R Law Group, where he handles criminal defense, including DUI cases, and represents clients in federal appeals.
