About Sophie
Sophie Carney completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado Boulder, earning a B.A. in Political Science in 2018. She went on to attend the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University and received her J.D. in 2022. Her academic path combined a broad interest in public affairs with formal legal training, preparing her for practice in Arizona.
After law school, Carney joined Rosenstein Law Group in 2022. She began her time there as an attorney and has worked on a range of matters handled by the firm. Her move into private practice followed directly from her graduation and placed her inside a firm environment where she could build courtroom skills and client-handling experience.
At Rosenstein Law Group her work has included legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, preparing discovery, and supporting clients through procedural stages. She has appeared in hearings and assisted in trial preparation. Those responsibilities have given her steady exposure to courtroom procedure and the practical demands of managing cases from intake through resolution.
Carney maintains professional memberships and participates in continuing legal education. She engages with colleagues at the firm on case strategy and contributes to client counseling. Her colleagues describe her approach as methodical and attentive to detail, emphasizing careful analysis and clear communication when advising clients.
She is admitted to practice in Arizona and handles matters arising in state courts and administrative forums. At Rosenstein Law Group she represents clients in proceedings across the state and manages both pretrial work and courtroom advocacy when necessary. Her current practice centers on representing clients in Arizona state matters and providing litigation support at the firm.
