About Raymond
Raymond Tamayo grew up at a time when international headlines mattered. He studied international relations at Boston University and finished a Bachelor of Arts in 1999. He stayed in Boston for law school and earned his J.D. from New England Law | Boston in 2002. Those years set the foundation for a practice that crosses state lines and legal disciplines.
After law school Tamayo entered private practice and later took on leadership responsibilities. In 2014 he became the managing lawyer of Tamayo Law Office, PLLC. That role has him overseeing case strategy, client intake and the day-to-day operations of a small firm. Colleagues describe him as methodical in court preparation and attentive in client interviews.
He holds licenses to practice in Florida, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Those multiple admissions have allowed him to work on matters that touch more than one jurisdiction. He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the New Hampshire Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, memberships he has maintained since 2014. His association ties point to a practice grounded in criminal defense work.
Tamayo’s courtroom work is paired with an interest in the procedural side of cases. He spends time on pretrial motions, evidentiary issues and sentencing advocacy. He tends to prioritize thorough factual review and careful legal research. Clients and peers note that he brings patience to the process. He is not one for flash. He prepares steadily and argues clearly.
Outside the courtroom he manages the business of running a firm. That means balancing client demands, supervising staff, and handling administrative obligations. He also keeps up with continuing legal education and association activities. Those commitments help him stay current on changes in criminal law and procedure across the states where he is licensed.
As of 2026 Tamayo continues to lead Tamayo Law Office, PLLC. He practices criminal defense and represents clients across Florida, New Hampshire and Massachusetts, handling matters from pretrial strategy to plea discussions and trial when necessary.
