About Peter A.
Peter A. Michael is a New Jersey-trained lawyer who entered the state’s bar after completing his legal studies at Rutgers. He earned his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law–Newark in 2017, after graduating from Rutgers University–Newark in 2014 with a B.A. in political science and economics. Those years on campus shaped his interest in how law and public policy meet daily life.
He began his post-law school career in New Jersey law firms. In 2018 he worked as an associate at Callagy Law and also spent time at Ehrlich, Petriello, Gudin & Plaza. Those early positions put him in the center of firm practice environments and daily client work. He handled routine docket responsibilities and assisted on matters that gave him hands-on courtroom and transactional exposure.
In 2019 he moved into a leadership role at Peter Michael Law, LLC, where his title is listed as partner. The shift to that firm marked a step toward managing cases and client relationships more directly. Colleagues from various firms note that the move allowed him to take on broader case management responsibilities and to shape office processes.
Outside the office he maintains professional ties within the county bar. He is a current member of the Essex County Bar. That membership keeps him connected to local practitioners and continuing legal education offerings. It also provides a forum for collaboration on issues that frequently arise in Essex County courts.
Michael’s practice is firmly rooted in New Jersey practice and procedure. He has worked in both associate roles and as a partner, and he brings that range of experience to his client work. He approaches matters with an eye for practical case management and attention to procedural detail. He communicates developments plainly to clients and aims to keep them informed about next steps.
He continues to practice from Peter Michael Law, LLC and bases his work on matters that arise under New Jersey law. His current practice focuses on representing clients in New Jersey state matters.
