About Lisa DiPoala

Lisa DiPoala Haber earned her J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law in 1989. Her legal education in Syracuse provided the foundations for a career that has included work across state and federal courts. She moved quickly into practice in New York and sought the courtroom admissions that would shape much of her professional life.

She is admitted to the bars of the State of New York and to several federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd and 7th Circuits and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Western Districts of New York. Those admissions have supported a practice that spans both state and federal matters and often requires litigation-ready credentials.

Haber has been active in regional and state bar groups for many years. She served as president of the Central New York Women’s Bar Association from 2014 to 2015 and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York from 2013 to 2015. From 2006 through 2015 she co-chaired the Central New York Women’s Bar Association Judicial Screening Committee, a role that involved evaluating candidates for the bench. Her work on professional governance extended to the Onondaga County Bar Association, where she served on the Board of Directors and later on its Grievance and CLE Committees.

Her volunteer and community service record includes several committee appointments and pro bono work. She volunteered with the OCBA Volunteer Lawyers Project from 2013 to 2017 and served on CLE and pro bono committees of the NDNY Federal Court Bar Association between 2009 and 2012. Haber also was a member of the Board of Directors for the Onondaga County Oncenter from 2009 to 2011, bringing legal and organizational perspective to civic oversight.

Those committee roles and bar leadership positions reflect a practice that has intersected with judicial selection, professional discipline, and continuing legal education. They also indicate sustained engagement with the legal community beyond individual client work. She has balanced bar leadership and volunteer assignments alongside private practice responsibilities.

Haber practices at Wesley Clark & Peshkin and maintains admissions that allow her to appear in the state and federal courts listed above. She currently practices at Wesley Clark & Peshkin, working in the courts where she is admitted.
