About Andrew T.

Andrew T. Coyle is an attorney who combines courtroom experience with private practice. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and later received his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 2012. Those academic years framed an early interest in dispute resolution and public service.

His first legal posts were in the courts. In 2012 he served as a law clerk to Magistrate Judge Gabriel W. Gorenstein at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The following year he was an assistant law clerk for the Honorable Deborah Kaplan at the New York County Supreme Court. Those clerkships exposed him to both federal and state dockets and to a wide range of procedural and evidentiary issues.

After his time on the bench, Coyle moved into private practice. He worked as an associate at Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP beginning in 2015, and joined Warshaw Burstein, LLP as an associate in 2016. In those roles he took on litigation tasks, prepared filings, managed discovery, and worked on case strategy alongside more senior trial lawyers. The work gave him regular exposure to contested matters in both state and federal courts.

In 2021 he founded The Law Offices of Andrew T. Coyle. As the firm’s principal, he oversees case intake and manages client matters. Founding his own practice allowed him to set the firm’s docket and to take on a range of civil matters that reflect his courtroom background. He continues to handle litigation tasks directly, from drafting pleadings to arguing motions.

Coyle is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. His background—court clerkships followed by years in litigation shops—means he is comfortable handling procedural complexities and courtroom practice across jurisdictions. He has worked on matters that required coordination between state and federal procedures and is familiar with the demands of motion practice and discovery in both systems.

Colleagues describe him as methodical and precise in court filings and courtroom preparation. He remains based at his own practice and accepts matters in the New York and New Jersey bar areas. His current practice focuses on litigation in state and federal courts in New York and New Jersey.
