About Linda

Linda Kennedy combines technical training and legal education in a career that has spanned state and federal courts. She earned a law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1998. Before law school she completed a bachelor's degree in chemistry at the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities in 1996 and studied scientific and technical communication at Michigan Technological University, finishing in 1991. The sequence of degrees gave her a grounding in both the sciences and in clear, technical writing.

Her legal work has taken her into multiple jurisdictions. She is admitted to practice in Illinois and Michigan, and she is authorized to appear before the Federal Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Those admissions indicate experience with appellate and federal practice, including matters handled at the circuit and national levels. She also maintains active professional memberships and participates in bar and industry groups.

Kennedy’s early career wove together technical and legal skills. The scientific coursework and training in technical communication preceded law school and informed how she approaches complex factual records. After earning her J.D., she moved into practice that involved both trial and appellate filings. Her litigation record includes work in state courts and federal forums, and she has handled briefs and oral advocacy at the appellate level.

She is based at Panagos Kennedy PLLC. The firm provides the platform for her courtroom practice, filings with federal appellate courts, and representation in state matters. Within the firm she handles case strategy, brief drafting, and oral argument preparation. Colleagues describe her approach as methodical and precise; she relies on careful analysis and an attention to procedural detail when preparing cases for litigation or appeal.

Beyond the courtroom, Kennedy’s educational background informs how she manages complex discovery and technical exhibits. Her prior study in scientific communication shapes how she presents technical subjects to judges and opposing counsel. That combination of training and courtroom experience supports work that requires translating complex facts into readable arguments.

She continues to practice law at Panagos Kennedy PLLC and her work includes appellate matters and federal litigation.
