About Julie J.
Julie J. Marburger built a foundation in the humanities before turning to law. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Historic Preservation & Community Planning from the College of Charleston in 2008. She followed that with a Master of Arts in Historic Preservation from the University of Georgia in 2009. Marburger completed her legal training at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, receiving her J.D. in 2011.
Her early career combines courtroom exposure and preservation work. In 2010 she clerked and interned for the Supreme Court of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, a role that offered hands-on experience with appellate procedure and court operations. The following year she served as a legal intern at the National Trust for Historic Preservation, where her academic background informed legal research on preservation issues.
Marburger moved into private practice after law school. In 2012 she joined Ebner, Nevins & McAllister, LLC as an associate, and three years later she became an associate at Wolf, Baldwin & Associates, P.C. In 2019 she took a partnership position at Monastra, Grater and Marburger, LLC. Those roles exposed her to a range of civil matters and firm responsibilities, and she handled both research and client-facing tasks as her caseload grew.
She is admitted to practice in Georgia and Pennsylvania, and she maintains memberships in the Pennsylvania State Bar Association and the Berks County Bar Association. Those affiliations reflect her professional ties in Pennsylvania while retaining credentials in Georgia.
Over time Marburger has brought together two strands of training: preservation and law. Her academic work in historic preservation and community planning informs how she approaches cases that involve property, land use and regulatory review. Her internships at the National Trust and at a high court sharpened her legal research and writing skills, and her successive firm roles broadened her exposure to the daily demands of firm practice and client counsel.
Marburger currently practices at Brennan & Associates, P.C. Her work there draws on her background in historic preservation and community planning and on the litigation and transactional experience she developed at previous firms. She represents clients on matters that intersect with property and preservation concerns and continues to engage in bar activities in Pennsylvania.
