About Jeffrey

Jeffrey Runge built a legal path that moves from classroom to courtroom and then into firm leadership. He studied international business before turning to law. The undergraduate degree gave him a practical view of commerce. The law degree supplied the legal tools he would use in practice.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Business Management from Southern New Hampshire University in 1992. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Massachusetts School of Law in 1995. Those years set the stage for a steady progression through small-firm practice roles and, eventually, into management.

Runge began his legal work as a law clerk in 1995 at McGrath Law Office, P.C. The following year he joined the same office as a lawyer, broadening his hands-on experience with client matters and court appearances. That early exposure to day-to-day legal work shaped much of his practical approach to running a practice.

By 2000 he had moved into leadership. He became president of Runge Law Office, P.C., and took on the role of president and chief executive officer at Family Legal Services, P.C. Those positions placed him on both sides of management: running a private office named for him and heading a firm that signaled a focus on family-related legal needs. The dual roles required balancing administrative duties with casework and community relationships.

Runge has been a member of the Massachusetts State Bar since 1998. He is licensed to practice in Massachusetts and has maintained that membership continuously. His career reflects a mix of litigation and client counseling that is common among lawyers who operate their own firms and lead small legal teams.

Colleagues describe him as someone who moved through the traditional ranks of clerk, associate, and then principal. He has navigated the operational side of law offices as well as the substantive work on behalf of clients. That experience informs how he manages staff, assigns cases, and interacts with opposing counsel.

Today he continues to run his practice from the offices associated with Runge Law Office, P.C. and Family Legal Services, P.C. He handles family law matters and related civil issues in his current practice.
