About Daniel
Daniel Barrison earned his J.D. from Temple University in 1984 after completing a B.A. in economics at Syracuse University in 1980. Those academic years set a clear path into private practice. He trained in an era when regional law firms handled a broad mix of civil matters, and that breadth is reflected in his long career.
He began practicing law in the years after law school and established his base in the mid-Atlantic. Jurisdictional work in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey has been a throughline of his practice. In 1993 he became a shareholder at Sherman, Silverstein, Kohl, Rose & Podolsky, P.A., the firm where he continues to work. That move marked his transition into firm leadership and partnership responsibilities.
Over the decades Barrison has maintained an active role in bar organizations. He holds memberships in the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Philadelphia Bar Association and the New Jersey Bar Association. He is also a member of the American Bar Association. Those affiliations have kept him connected to developments in both states and to the wider legal profession.
