About Corey N.

Corey N. Giroux combines an academic grounding in philosophy with legal training to shape his work as a practicing attorney. He studied philosophy at King’s College, University of London, before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Hamilton College in 2000. He then completed his legal education at Boston University School of Law, receiving a J.D. in 2005. That blend of philosophical inquiry and law informs how he approaches cases and counsels clients.

After law school, Giroux entered private practice and built a career across state lines. He is admitted to practice in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Over the years he has remained involved in professional circles, maintaining memberships in bar and legal associations that keep him engaged with developments in state law and court practice.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in analysis and measured in oral argument. His philosophical background shows up in his tendency to parse complicated issues into their component parts and to look for legal principles that guide a practical result. He applies that reasoning to the everyday tasks of client representation: assessing risk, preparing arguments, and advising on procedural strategy.

Giroux practices at Strang, Scott, Giroux & Young, LLP, a regional firm that handles a range of matters for individuals and businesses. At the firm he works with a team of attorneys and staff to manage case flow, prepare filings, and represent clients in hearings. He has experience working across the court systems of Massachusetts and New Hampshire and is familiar with local rules and judicial practice in both states.

Outside the courtroom, Giroux keeps his legal knowledge current through continuing education and association activities. He participates in discussions that sharpen practice skills and reflect changes in statutes and case law. That ongoing engagement informs the advice he gives clients, particularly on procedural questions and jurisdictional matters.

Today, Corey N. Giroux practices at Strang, Scott, Giroux & Young, LLP and focuses on state law matters in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
