About Kirsten
Kirsten Allen moved from the visual arts to the law. She earned a B.F.A. from the University of Utah before completing a J.D. at the University of New Hampshire School of Law. The combination of an arts background and legal training gives her a different view of problem solving. She has said her education taught her to pay attention to detail and to communicate complex ideas clearly.
After law school she entered practice in New Hampshire. She is admitted to the New Hampshire bar and joined Shaheen & Gordon, P.A. as an associate lawyer. In that role she has taken on day-to-day responsibilities typical for a firm associate: researching legal issues, preparing written pleadings and memoranda, and coordinating with clients and opposing counsel. Colleagues describe her as measured and precise in her written work.
At the firm she has handled a variety of matters that require careful legal analysis and practical case management. Her work has involved drafting contractual provisions, compiling factual records, and assisting in negotiation and settlement discussions. She also supports trial teams by organizing exhibits and preparing witness outlines. The tasks are often detail-oriented, and she applies habits learned in studio work to organize complex information.
Clients and other attorneys have come to rely on her methodical approach to problem solving. She blends a clear writing style with a steady attention to procedural deadlines. When cases require it, she steps into collaborative roles, coordinating with senior lawyers and outside experts to ensure matters move forward efficiently. She is comfortable moving between research, drafting and client-facing tasks.
Kirsten practices from Shaheen & Gordon’s offices in New Hampshire where she continues to build experience in state matters. She remains engaged in the day-to-day work of representing clients, managing filings, and developing case strategies. Her current practice centers on client representation and legal counseling in New Hampshire.
