About Brendan Lee
Brendan Lee McAvoy is an attorney licensed in Wisconsin. He earned his J.D. from Marquette University Law School in 2014 and completed a Certificate in Litigation at Marquette while in law school. Earlier, he received a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 2010, studying psychology and political science with a law emphasis.
McAvoy began his post-law school career in private practice. In 2015 he became a partner at McAvoy & Murphy Law Office LLC. That role put him into the daily work of managing client matters and running aspects of a small firm. Three years later he opened his own practice, forming McAvoy Law Offices LLC in 2018 and serving as owner and lawyer.
His membership record includes the American Bar Association from 2011 through 2018. That early participation overlapped with his years in law school and the first phase of his practice. The record shows steady involvement in professional circles during those formative years.
McAvoy’s legal training includes formal litigation instruction through his certificate at Marquette. He applies that training to cases in Wisconsin courts. He handles pretrial preparation, filings and courtroom work. His practice has required familiarity with procedural rules and the mechanics of civil litigation in the state.
Colleagues describe McAvoy as methodical in his casework and focused on the practical demands of litigation. He has experience shifting between client consultations and courtroom schedules. That balance reflects the rhythm of running a small firm where the lawyer wears multiple hats.
Since starting McAvoy Law Offices LLC he has overseen the firm’s operations and represented clients on matters routed through Wisconsin’s judicial system. He continues to build a practice that handles contested matters and the attendant legal processes. He maintains the licensing necessary to practice in Wisconsin and staffs his office to meet procedural and client needs.
McAvoy lives and works in Wisconsin and continues to accept matters through his own office. His current practice centers on litigation matters in Wisconsin courts.
