About Bonnie
Bonnie Sisak earned her undergraduate degree in 2002 from the University of New Hampshire, where she studied political science and sociology. She stayed in the state for law school and received her J.D. from the University of New Hampshire School of Law in 2006. Her academic background combined social science and law, grounding her later work in public defense and courtroom practice.
Sisak began her legal career at the New Hampshire Public Defender’s office in 2006. She served as a lawyer there and continued in roles within the office over the years, including a position described as Staff Lawyer in 2019. Those years in the public defender system exposed her to a wide array of criminal matters and the practical demands of representing clients who could not afford private counsel. Her courtroom experience dates back to the start of her career and spans trials, client counseling, and case preparation.
In 2022 Sisak moved into private practice as Of Counsel at Connolly Law PLLC. The transition added a different set of responsibilities. As Of Counsel she consults on cases, advises on strategy, and assists with litigation when cases require additional trial and defense resources. Her work at the firm complements the skills she developed at the Public Defender’s office.
Outside of casework, Sisak serves on the Board of Governors of the New Hampshire Association of Justice. In that role she participates in bar-related activities and helps shape programs that address civil and criminal justice topics. Her presence on the board reflects a continuing connection to the state’s legal community and to professional dialogue about practice standards and access to counsel.
Colleagues describe Sisak as steady and pragmatic. She approaches matters by focusing on the immediate needs of clients and the mechanics of litigation. The work she has done over two decades emphasizes preparation, client communication, and managing cases from arraignment through resolution.
Now based at Connolly Law PLLC, Sisak continues to practice in New Hampshire. She applies years of public defense experience to representing clients in criminal matters and related proceedings.
