About Autumn

Autumn Aspen took a straight path into law after a liberal arts education shaped her interest in history and public affairs. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in History from Flagler College in 2012, then moved west to attend the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she received her J.D. in 2015.

Her early years after law school were rooted in the Mountain West. Aspen gained admission to practice in Colorado and Wyoming and is admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Those credentials have allowed her to work on matters in both state and federal forums across the region.

Over the course of her practice she has handled a range of matters that required both courtroom work and careful written advocacy. That mix of trial-level litigation and appellate filings has shaped how she approaches cases: methodical preparation, attention to procedural detail, and a readiness to press factual and legal points when necessary. Colleagues describe her as pragmatic in court and thorough on paper.

Aspen’s training in history informs how she frames a client’s story. She pays close attention to chronology and context. That can matter when factual nuance shifts how a dispute is understood. She also places a premium on clear communication, explaining legal options in plain terms so clients can decide how to proceed.

Her practice spans filings and hearings in Colorado and Wyoming courts and appellate work before the Tenth Circuit. She represents clients in civil matters that require navigation of state statutes and federal rules. In court she combines preparation with an eye for the practical questions judges and opposing counsel will raise.

Outside the courtroom she continues to refine her skills through professional education and peer collaboration. She draws on her dual-state admission to coordinate multi-jurisdictional strategy when cases cross state lines. At present she maintains an active practice in Colorado and Wyoming, concentrating on litigation in state and federal courts, including appellate work in the Tenth Circuit.
