About Anthony
Anthony Harbin began his path to the law in South Carolina. He earned his undergraduate degree at Clemson University before attending the University of South Carolina School of Law. Those years set the groundwork for a career centered on courtroom work and advocacy for injured people.
He is admitted to practice in South Carolina and holds admissions to the U.S. Fourth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Those credentials have allowed him to handle cases that move beyond the trial level and into appellate review. Over time he has combined trial practice with appellate advocacy, choosing work that often requires both skills.
Harbin is the managing partner at Harbin & Burnett, LLP. He practices on the plaintiff side and carries a caseload that includes personal injury, nursing home abuse and neglect, and truck collision matters. He has been active in organizations that serve plaintiff lawyers and has taken leadership roles in several of them. He has been a member of the South Carolina Association for Justice, served on its Board of Governors from 2006 to 2009, and was the association’s editor from 2009 to 2010. He is also a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, the American Bar Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America section on nursing home abuse and neglect.
Nationally, Harbin has taken on organizational duties as well. He is listed as a current leader of the American Association for Justice. He also participates in the Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America. Those roles place him in circles where trial strategy, policy questions, and continuing education intersect. Colleagues note that his practice blends courtroom preparation with involvement in the professional groups that shape how plaintiff lawyers handle complex injury and elder-abuse cases.
His writing and editorial experience date back to his work for the South Carolina Association for Justice. Serving as editor gave him a window into the issues that trial lawyers face in the state. It also informed his approach to trial preparation and legal argument. Today, Harbin runs his practice from Harbin & Burnett, LLP, where he continues to litigate civil cases, taking both trial and appellate matters in South Carolina and beyond.
He currently practices at Harbin & Burnett, LLP, handling civil litigation matters, including personal injury, nursing home abuse, and truck collision cases.
