About Wilson
Wilson Gualpa earned his J.D. from Widener University Delaware School of Law in 2015. He moved into Delaware’s legal community soon after graduation, adding practical courtroom exposure to his academic training. The timing of his degree places him among a cohort of lawyers who began practicing in the latter half of the 2010s, a period of steady change in state-level practice.
Early in his career he served as a legal intern for Judge Aida Waserstein at the New Castle County Family Court. That placement gave him direct experience observing hearings and the daily work of a trial court. He spent time in chambers and in court, gaining familiarity with family court procedures and the realities judges weigh when handling delicate matters.
After his internship, Gualpa joined Morris James LLP as an associate. At the firm he has worked on matters that intersect with trial practice and administrative proceedings. His professional memberships indicate a steady involvement in workers’ compensation and trial-related work, and his role at the firm has involved preparing cases for hearings and managing litigation-related tasks.
Gualpa maintains a broad set of professional affiliations. He is a member of the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association and the Randy J. Holland Delaware Workers Compensation Inn of Court. He also belongs to the Workers Compensation Section of the Delaware State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. His membership in the Delaware Hispanic Bar Association and the National Hispanic Bar Association, and his position on the board of directors of The Latin American Community Center since 2020, reflect ongoing ties to civic and cultural organizations. He serves as chair of the Multicultural Judges and Lawyers Section of the Delaware State Bar Association, a leadership role that places him at the intersection of legal practice and efforts to broaden participation in the bench and bar.
Gualpa is licensed to practice in both Delaware and New Jersey. That dual admission allows him to take on matters that cross state lines and to advise clients on legal questions that arise in either jurisdiction. He has balanced courtroom exposure from his clerkship with litigation responsibilities at the firm, building practical skills in advocacy and case management.
Colleagues describe him as engaged in professional and community organizations and active in the state’s legal networks. He continues his work at Morris James LLP, where he represents clients in matters across Delaware and New Jersey, including workers’ compensation and related litigation.
