About Lawrance Spiller
Lawrence Spiller Kimmel took an academic route that combined liberal arts, business and law. He earned a B.A. from Cornell University in 2001 and spent time studying at University College London in 2000. He returned to Philadelphia and completed both an MBA from Temple University Fox School of Business and a J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2005.
Those dual degrees shaped an early practice that blends legal analysis with an understanding of business concerns. Kimmel began his legal career after law school and gained admission to multiple state bars and federal courts. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, and he also holds admission to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.
Kimmel’s professional home has been the firm Kimmel, Carter, Roman, Peltz & O Neill. He works alongside colleagues who handle a range of civil litigation matters. His role at the firm has involved courtroom work, client counseling and case preparation. He represents parties in state and federal forums, handling pretrial motion practice and trials when cases proceed to that stage.
He maintains memberships in a number of bar and trial organizations. Kimmel serves on the board of the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association. He also holds memberships in the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the American Bar Association, and the state bars of Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Those affiliations keep him connected to peers across several jurisdictions and provide access to continuing legal education and practice resources.
The office listed for his practice is in the Plaza 273 Building near I-95 and Route 273. From that location he meets with clients, prepares litigation filings and coordinates discovery. His day-to-day work includes drafting pleadings, taking and defending depositions, and arguing motions in state and federal court.
Kimmel’s background in business and law informs how he approaches cases. He combines courtroom experience with an attention to transactional implications. He currently practices at Kimmel, Carter, Roman, Peltz & O Neill and represents clients in civil litigation matters across Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
