About William R.
William R. Peltz earned his law degree from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware in 1988 after completing a bachelor’s degree at the University of Delaware in 1985. He entered the legal profession following graduation and built a practice grounded in courtroom work and federal filings. He brings three decades of experience in litigation settings.
He practices at Kimmel, Carter, Roman, Peltz & O Neill, where his name appears among the firm’s attorneys. Over the years he has handled matters in both state and federal forums. His work has required regular appearances in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware and periodic filings before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Peltz is admitted to practice in Delaware and to several federal jurisdictions. Those include the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, other U.S. federal courts, and the Third Circuit. He also maintains current membership in the Delaware State Bar, a credential he has carried during his career.
Cases that reach the federal docket often demand a different rhythm than state court litigation. Peltz has spent much of his career responding to those demands—drafting briefs, arguing motions, preparing witnesses and managing discovery. He has represented clients through trial and on appeal. His work touches procedural and substantive issues that arise when state law claims intersect with federal procedure.
The office associated with his practice is located in the Plaza 273 Building at the intersection of I-95 and Route 273. From that base he manages filings, client consultations and court appearances in the region. Colleagues describe him as steady at counsel table and attentive to the calendar and court deadlines.
Outside the courtroom he participates in the professional life of the bar. His ongoing membership in the Delaware State Bar keeps him connected to local court rules and developments in Delaware practice. He has also maintained admission to the relevant federal courts that serve the state.
William R. Peltz continues to represent clients in both state and federal matters, handling litigation that ranges from trial practice in Delaware courts to appellate work in the Third Circuit.
