About Wayne
Wayne Morrison earned a B.S. in finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1989 and later took his law degree from the University of Georgia, graduating with a J.D. in 1996. Those academic milestones set a practical tone for a career that blends business sensibility with courtroom work.
He entered private practice in Georgia and spent years building litigation experience. In 2005 he joined Davis, Matthews & Quigley as an associate. He became a partner at that firm in 2011, handling contested family law matters and other civil disputes for clients across the state.
A year later he moved into a partnership at Hedgepeth, Heredia, Crumrine & Morrison. That period broadened his caseload and his role in firm management. In 2015 he took an of-counsel position at Kessler & Solomiany, a move that allowed him to balance trial practice with mentoring younger lawyers and contributing to complex family law files.
Morrison’s bar credential covers Georgia. He is active in local legal circles and has taken leadership roles in groups that concentrate on family law. He served as past president of the Family Law Section of the Cobb County Bar Association and holds a master’s role in the Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Law Inn of Court. He is also a member of the Atlanta Bar Association. Those memberships reflect sustained involvement in continuing education and court practice developments.
In the courtroom he has handled divorce proceedings, custody and child support disputes, and related domestic relations litigation. He also works on negotiation and settlement efforts, and on case preparation aimed at avoiding unnecessary hearings where possible. Colleagues note his steadier, pragmatic approach to legal problems and his willingness to tackle both evidentiary and procedural challenges.
Outside of hearings and filings he has trained junior attorneys and participated in local bar events that educate judges and practitioners about changes in family law. He maintains an office presence at One Premier Plaza and continues to accept matters in Georgia state courts. His current practice centers on family law matters in Georgia courts.
