About Vic
Vic Feazell is an attorney specializing in personal injury and products liability law. He earned his Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law in 1979, following his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 1972. Shortly after graduating, he embarked on his legal career—handling his first jury case just ten days post-graduation. This early experience laid the foundation for a career marked by significant achievements and high-profile cases. In 1983, Feazell was elected District Attorney of McLennan County, Texas — At that time, he became one of the youngest individuals to hold the position.
His tenure was marked by notable cases, including the investigation of the Lake Waco murders, which garnered widespread media attention. These experiences not only developed his legal skills but also solidified his reputation as a formidable prosecutor in the Texas legal community. In 1991, Feazell achieved a landmark victory with a record-breaking $58 million libel verdict against Belo Broadcasting Corporation. This case was significant enough to earn a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. The verdict not only showcased his litigation prowess but also underscored his commitment to justice for his clients.
Following his successful term as District Attorney, he founded The Law Offices of Vic Feazell, P.C., with locations in Austin and Waco. His firm focuses on personal injury cases, including slip-and-fall accidents, dog bites, and 18-wheeler accidents, while also taking on occasional criminal defense work. Feazell is an active member of several professional organizations that reflect his dedication to the legal profession. He holds memberships in the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Austin Bar Association (where he is a Founding Life Fellow), and the National Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (Life Member). Additionally, he is a Fellow of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and has served as the Former Chairman of the Judicial Affairs Committee of the Austin Bar Association.
His involvement in these organizations demonstrates his commitment to advancing the legal field and supporting fellow attorneys. In April 2021, the State Bar of Texas honored Feazell with an official resolution recognizing his service to the people of McLennan County and the state of Texas. This accolade highlights his dedication to the legal profession and his impact on the community. Beyond his law practice, Feazell continues to write books and record his podcast, "The Vic Feazell Show." He has also made appearances on platforms like Netflix and Hulu, further extending his influence and reach in the legal and entertainment spheres.
