About Katherine M.
Katherine M. Wyatt earned her undergraduate degrees in English and Political Science from the University of Texas - Pan American. She went on to complete her Juris Doctor at Texas Tech University School of Law, receiving her J.D. in 2017. Those formative academic years gave her a grounding in legal research, writing and the broader civic context that law often addresses.
After law school, Wyatt moved into private practice and, in 2020, she established the Law Office of Katherine M. Wyatt as managing member. Running her own practice required handling both client work and the administrative duties of a small firm. It also offered a chance to shape case strategies and client communications directly.
In 2021 she joined Skelton & Woody PLLC. At the firm she integrated into a team environment after several years of solo practice. The move broadened the range of matters she encounters and provided more resources for client representation. She is licensed to practice in Texas and conducts her work within that jurisdiction.
Wyatt maintains active memberships in several bar organizations. She holds memberships in the Austin Bar Association and the Austin Young Lawyers Association. She is also a member of Texas Young Lawyers and the Houston Bar Association. Those memberships keep her connected to local and statewide legal colleagues and ongoing professional developments.
Colleagues describe Wyatt as pragmatic and exacting in her preparation. She has experience managing client files, drafting legal documents and appearing on behalf of clients in procedural settings. Her background running a solo office left her familiar with the full cycle of a case, from intake through resolution. At the firm level she contributes that practical perspective while working alongside other attorneys and staff.
Her day-to-day legal work involves advising clients, handling case logistics and pursuing outcomes through negotiation or formal proceedings when necessary. Wyatt balances courtroom and office responsibilities depending on the needs of each matter. She has continued to build professional ties in Austin and Houston through bar activities and ongoing practice.
She currently practices at Skelton & Woody PLLC and handles legal matters across Texas.
