About Tyler Moore
Tyler Moore Kostal graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2005 with a B.B.A. in economics and marketing. He went on to earn his J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans in 2010. His academic background combined business training and legal study, a foundation that shaped the early steps of his professional life.
After college, Kostal worked as a marketing assistant at Information Methods Incorporated in 2006. He entered public service immediately after law school, serving in 2010 as a Lawyer Advisor for the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Administrative Law Judges. That role placed him inside the federal administrative process at the outset of his legal career.
In 2011 Kostal joined Mouledoux, Bland, Legrand & Brackett as a lawyer. Two years later he moved to Kean Miller LLP and became a partner in 2013. The progression from associate-level roles to a partnership slot came quickly, and reflected a steady increase in responsibility across litigation and counseling assignments.
Kostal is authorized to practice in Louisiana and in federal forums. His admissions include the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana. He appears regularly in state and federal venues and handles matters that may involve administrative and trial-stage procedures as well as appeals.
He maintains memberships in several professional organizations. Those include the New Orleans Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association and the Fifth Circuit Bar Association. His affiliations also extend to the Association for Women Lawyers and the Women’s Energy Network, Southeast Louisiana Chapter.
Colleagues describe Kostal as steady in the courtroom and methodical in preparation. He balances litigation tasks with client counseling and often works on matters that cross the boundary between state and federal practice. He remains at Kean Miller LLP, where his practice includes representation in Louisiana state and federal courts, including appellate work in the Fifth Circuit.
