About Tracy

Tracy Ford earned her J.D. at Columbia Law School after completing a B.A. at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. Her academic path placed her at two very different campuses. One was large and familiar, the other intensely urban and competitive. She moved through both environments and into the practice of law.

After law school, Ford pursued licensure and entry into practice in two states. She is admitted to practice in Virginia and in Florida. Those admissions underpin a career built around criminal defense work and professional engagement. Over time she joined a number of legal organizations that align with that practice area.

Her memberships include The Florida Bar, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Alexandria Bar Association. She maintains active ties to those groups and participates in their educational and networking programs. The associations offer forums for case law updates, trial technique workshops and discussions of ethics and procedure, resources she draws on in daily practice.

Ford’s career path led her to establish her own firm, Tracy Ford Law Group, PLLC. The firm operates across the jurisdictions where she is licensed. She handles matters for individuals facing criminal charges and attends to the procedural and strategic aspects of those cases. She represents clients at various stages of criminal cases, from initial appearances and pretrial proceedings to negotiated resolutions.

Columbia Law School gave her training in legal analysis and courtroom procedure. The University of South Carolina provided a liberal arts foundation. Those educational experiences shaped how she approaches evidence, client counseling and courtroom advocacy. Colleagues and clients describe her as methodical in preparation and precise when arguing a point. She uses professional associations to stay current on statutory and case law developments that affect her practice.

She lives and practices across state lines, drawing on licensure in Virginia and Florida to serve clients where they need representation. Her firm offers counsel, representation and case management. She continues to participate in bar and defense organizations that support criminal defense practitioners.

Her practice focuses on criminal defense in Virginia and Florida.
