About Margaret
Margaret Byers completed her law degree at William & Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law in 2023 after earning a bachelor’s degree in political science and American studies from Christopher Newport University in 2020. She entered law school on a clear timetable: learn the law, test it in practice, and return to her home state. Those three years at William & Mary shaped the foundation of her legal thinking and gave her regular exposure to courtroom procedures and appellate reasoning.
She began her professional career at Livesay & Myers, P.C. in 2023, joining the firm as an associate lawyer. Colleagues say she arrived ready to work. Her early assignments involved legal research, drafting pleadings, and preparing memos for supervising attorneys. She also assisted on matters that required coordinating filings and deadlines across multiple courts.
