About Tony
Tony Westbrooks trained at two institutions that shaped his approach to the law. He earned a B.A. in economics from Grinnell College in 2001 after beginning his studies in 1997. He then attended Washington University School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2006 following his enrollment in 2003. Those academic years established the analytical grounding and practical instincts that have guided his practice.
After law school, Westbrooks established his legal career in Missouri, where he is licensed to practice. He has worked across a range of matters in the state’s courts and administrative bodies. Over time he moved into private practice and is now part of Formula Law, practicing from that office. He has also retained memberships in professional legal associations, participating in the networks and forums those groups provide.
Colleagues describe Westbrooks as deliberate in his preparation and clear in his courtroom presentation. He spends time breaking complex problems into discrete issues. That habit shows up in written filings and oral arguments. He prefers a steady, methodical pace when building a case. The result is often careful advocacy rather than theatrical motions.
Clients who have worked with him say he explains next steps in plain language. He frames options so nonlawyers can compare them. He also values procedural discipline. Deadlines and the fine print matter in the matters he handles, and he holds support staff to those standards.
Outside the office he remains connected to the legal community through those association memberships. He attends local events and contributes in ways that are not public-facing. His engagement tends to be practical: mentoring younger attorneys and offering case strategy at roundtables rather than headline public positions.
Practice at Formula Law places him in a setting where individual client work and collaborative problem-solving coexist. He handles matters across state-level forums and works directly with clients to advance their objectives. He represents clients in Missouri courts and administrative hearings and manages case preparation, filings, and litigation strategy as needed. His current practice concentrates on client representation in state matters at Formula Law.
