About Randall Thomas
Randall Thomas Oettle built a career that moves between classroom training and courtroom practice. He earned a B.A. in Bible and Education from Central Bible College in 1988. He later completed his J.D. at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Law in 1995. Those chapters shaped a lawyer who combines teaching experience with legal training.
After law school, Oettle began practicing in Missouri. He joined Murphy, Tobben & Wassinger as an associate in 1997. The position gave him hands-on exposure to day-to-day lawyering and the demands of client work. Colleagues from that period say the formative years helped him clarify how he wanted to organize his own practice.
In 2003 he started Roc Law and took on the role of founding principal. Launching a firm meant shifting from the structure of a larger office to running all aspects of a private practice. He moved into leadership, overseeing case intake, client communication, and the business side of a law office. Those responsibilities have shaped how he advises clients and manages matters.
Oettle’s educational background also informs his approach. A foundation in education and Bible studies preceded his legal training. The combination often shows in how he explains complicated issues to clients. He aims for plain language and clear options rather than legalese. That style reflects an emphasis on practical problem-solving and direct communication.
Across more than two decades of practice, Oettle has kept his work anchored in Missouri. He maintains professional knowledge through continuing education and the routine pace of client representation. His trajectory from associate to firm founder illustrates a steady, practice-oriented career rather than periodic publicity.
He currently practices at Roc Law in Missouri, providing counsel and representation to individual and business clients.
