About Terence
Terence Ricaforte has built a legal career that started in a prosecutor's office and progressed into firm leadership in New York. He earned a B.S. from Manhattan College in 1997 and a J.D. from New York Law School in 2001. Those credentials anchored an early trajectory that crossed state lines and practice settings.
Ricaforte's first listed public role came in 2006 as an assistant prosecutor at the Miami-Dade State Lawyer s Office. He moved into private practice the following year, taking an of counsel role in 2007. By 2008 he was a senior associate at Connors & Sullivan, Lawyers at Law, PLLC. Over the next decade he advanced through partnership positions, becoming a partner at Connors & Sullivan in 2016 and later joining Karol & Sosnik, P.C. as a partner in 2018. In the same year he assumed the title of managing partner at Landskind & Ricaforte Law Group, P.C.
Those roles reflect a mix of courtroom experience and firm management. Early prosecutorial work sharpened his experience handling criminal matters and court procedure. Years in small and mid-sized firms exposed him to civil litigation and client counseling. The shift into leadership required attention to operations, case flow and mentoring junior lawyers, all while maintaining a caseload.
Ricaforte is admitted to practice in New York. He is active in local and specialty bar groups. Among his memberships are the Bay Ridge Lawyers Association and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Participation in those organizations signals ongoing engagement with community lawyers and with matters affecting older clients and their families.
Today Ricaforte practices from Landskind & Ricaforte Law Group, P.C. He manages firm affairs while continuing to handle cases. His work includes elder law, estate planning and civil litigation, and he remains involved in local bar activities and professional education.
