About Ted
Ted Broomfield has a layered academic background that brought him to law later in a varied career. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Duke University in 1992. He then turned to legal studies at Golden Gate University School of Law, completing both a Juris Doctor and an LL.M. in Tax in 2014.
That tax training shapes much of his approach to legal work. He is admitted to practice in California and has been a member of the Bar Association of San Francisco since 2015. Those affiliations place him in the legal community of the Bay Area, where tax questions often intersect with business and personal planning.
Colleagues describe him as methodical and precise in written analysis. His LL.M. in Tax gives him technical grounding for matters that require that level of detail. He has worked on matters that blend statutory interpretation and tax policy, and he brings that background to both advisory and transactional assignments.
Broomfield’s path to law was not strictly traditional. After completing his undergraduate degree in economics, he returned to school for legal training more than a decade later. That perspective informs how he evaluates client problems: he looks at numbers and statutes together. He favors clear, practical advice over abstract argumentation. Papers and filings are prepared to reflect that balance.
He maintains an active legal presence in California. His membership in the Bar Association of San Francisco signals ongoing engagement with local legal networks and continuing education. He works with clients on matters that benefit from tax expertise applied to legal problems. He focuses on tax-related legal matters in California.
