About Tadd Christian
Tadd Christian Dietz entered law school after completing undergraduate studies at the University of Utah in 2002. He earned a bachelor of science in political science, with minors in history and international studies. He remained at the University of Utah for law school and received his J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2006.
His early legal work combined public service and private practice. In 2007 he served as a law clerk for Utah Legal Services and also worked as a law clerk for Strindberg & Scholnick, LLC. During the same year he volunteered with the University of Utah Pro Bono Initiative, handling matters that exposed him to client advocacy and courtroom procedure. He joined Strindberg & Scholnick as a lawyer in 2009 before opening his own practice a year later.
In 2010 he established the Law Office of Tadd Dietz, PLLC. Running a small firm required him to handle both the legal work and the business side of practice. That experience broadened the range of matters he managed and the clients he advised. It also meant steady courtroom work, client counseling and case preparation across civil matters that came through his door.
Professionally, Dietz has been involved in several bar and advocacy organizations since the start of his practice. He has been a member of the Utah State Bar and its Young Lawyers Division since 2009. He joined the American Bar Association in 2009 as well. In 2011 he became a member of both the National Employment Lawyers Association and the Utah Employment Lawyers Association, affiliations that align him with lawyers who focus on workplace disputes and employee rights.
Colleagues and clients describe him as methodical and direct in court filings and oral argument. He balances trial work against case management, often taking cases from intake through trial or settlement. His early pro bono work and public-interest clerking years remain part of his professional narrative, shaping how he approaches client intake and case evaluation.
He continues to lead his firm, handling litigation and counseling clients on employment-related matters and other civil disputes. His current practice is based at the Law Office of Tadd Dietz, PLLC and centers on employment law and related civil litigation.
