About Steven William
Steven William Neimeyer grew up in an era when the law often meant long hours and careful research. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida, completing that degree in 1992. He went on to Washington University School of Law, where he received his J.D. in 1996. Those academic years set the stage for a career that would balance courtroom work and technical investigation.
Early in his practice Neimeyer established a small firm under his own name. By 1998 he was listed as the managing lawyer of The Neimeyer Law Office. That early period was hands-on. He handled client intake, drafted pleadings and learned the rhythms of litigation. In 2001 he took on a role as a guardian ad litem in St. Louis County Family Court. That appointment placed him in family court matters and in a role that required direct interaction with judges, social workers and families.
Neimeyer’s résumé also includes specialized public-safety credentials. He holds certifications as a fire inspector and as a fire investigator from the Missouri Division of Fire Safety. Those qualifications are not merely decorative. They allow him to participate in technical inquiries where the origin and cause of a fire matter to legal outcomes. Combining courtroom experience with investigative training has given him a distinct perspective on cases that intersect law and science.
In 2017 he became the managing member and lawyer of Neimeyer Law, LLC. The firm operates from an office in The Clayton Building. Over the years he has handled matters that required both litigation skills and investigative acumen. He has balanced private practice responsibilities with court appointments and his work as an investigator.
Colleagues describe Neimeyer as a lawyer who prefers directness. He does not court publicity. He tends to work behind the scenes, preparing cases and handling procedural issues in family and civil matters. His guardian ad litem work continues to inform how he approaches cases involving children and family dynamics. His fire inspections and investigations inform factual development in cases where those issues arise.
He is licensed to practice in Missouri and maintains his office in Clayton. He currently practices from The Clayton Building and handles family court matters as well as cases that require fire investigation expertise.
