About Steven

Steven Fairchild built his legal foundation through a series of steady steps. He earned a B.S. from James Madison University in 1998, followed by an M.S. from George Mason University in 2002. He attended George Washington University Law School and received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2006.

After law school he entered private practice. In 2007 he joined Loeb & Loeb LLP as a lawyer. He spent those early years handling client matters in the regional markets that connect New York and New Jersey. That period gave him courtroom experience and day-to-day transactional work in a larger-firm environment.

In 2013 he struck out on his own and founded Fairchild Law LLC. He has served as the firm’s founder and principal lawyer since then. Over time the practice established itself as a small-firm option for individuals and businesses seeking counsel across state lines. Fairchild’s background in both law school and graduate study informs the firm’s approach to research and case preparation.

Fairchild is licensed to practice in New York and in New Jersey. That dual admission shapes the matters his office accepts and the strategies he develops for clients. He often handles cases and transactions that involve state-level rules and filings in those jurisdictions. His academic record — a science-based master’s degree followed by a law degree — gives him comfort with technical material and complex fact patterns.

Colleagues and clients describe him as methodical and precise. He blends careful legal analysis with practical steps aimed at resolving disputes or closing deals. He does not lean on flashy trial tactics. Instead, he emphasizes clear communication and thorough preparation. That style has guided his work whether in negotiations or in court appearances.

Outside the office he has kept ties to the legal communities around New York and New Jersey. He has maintained a practice that reflects those two markets and the legal issues that arise between them. He continues to manage Fairchild Law LLC and to represent clients in matters governed by New York and New Jersey law.

He currently practices at Fairchild Law LLC, handling matters that arise under New York and New Jersey law.
