About Elena
Elena Gurevich graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2017, where she studied intellectual property law. Her legal training came during a period of rapid change in how creative work is produced and licensed. She moved into practice armed with that IP background and an interest in how law touches art, fashion and media.
Her early professional roles reflect that intersection. In 2020 she served as Director of Development at the Center for Art Law. That same year she worked as a legal consultant for LED Clothing Studio, Inc., offering project-based counsel to a company operating in the fashion space. In 2021 she joined JT Law Office as an associate lawyer, and in 2022 she provided legal consulting for New Day Pictures, Inc., a media company.
Those roles have combined nonprofit and commercial experience. As Director of Development at a nonprofit focused on art and law, she handled program support and outreach while working alongside scholars and practitioners. Her consulting engagements with a clothing studio and a production company involved advising businesses on transactions and rights issues that commonly arise for creators and small media firms. At JT Law Office she practiced as an associate, contributing to casework and client counseling in a firm setting.
Gurevich is admitted to the bar in New York. She has worked for organizations of varying sizes and structures, moving between in-house project work and firm-side assignments. That variety has given her time in both advisory and litigation-support roles, and it has shaped how she approaches client problems that involve licensing, ownership and contract terms.
Her written and practical training in intellectual property informs the matters she handles. Colleagues describe her approach as methodical; clients have turned to her for clear explanations about rights and obligations. She applies classroom training to real-world problems: clearing rights for creative projects, negotiating agreements, and counseling on the ownership of creative output.
Today she maintains an office under the name Elena Gurevich, Esq. Her current practice concentrates on intellectual property and contract matters for clients in the creative and media sectors.
