About Sierra D
Sierra D Causey began her legal journey in classrooms and courtrooms near Cincinnati. She earned her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2019 and moved quickly into practice in Ohio. The law degree provided the technical grounding; the work that followed put that training to use.
After law school Causey entered the Ohio legal community and built practical experience advising and representing clients. She is licensed to practice in Ohio and has handled matters across the state court system. Colleagues describe her approach as methodical. She reads complex records closely and prepares clear written work for judges, clients and opposing counsel.
Causey’s early career included roles that exposed her to a range of legal tasks, from drafting pleadings to conducting legal research and participating in hearings. She has operated both behind the scenes and in court. Those years established routines she still follows: careful preparation, attention to procedural detail and steady communication with clients.
Her work reflects an attention to state law and to the procedural mechanics that govern litigation and administrative practice. She has experience navigating filings, responding to discovery and advising clients on practical next steps. She also assists in counseling clients about how to approach disputes and when settlement may be a realistic option. Her clients have included individuals and small businesses in matters that require day-to-day legal management as well as discrete representations in contested settings.
Causey joined Blake P. Somers, LLC, where she continues to practice in Ohio. At the firm she contributes to client files, prepares filings and supports more senior attorneys in courtroom settings. The office environment at Blake P. Somers, LLC offers a mix of collaborative case work and individual responsibility. That balance suits practitioners who prefer hands-on file management alongside teamwork.
Outside court dockets and briefs, Causey maintains connections to the regional legal community. She keeps current on changes in Ohio law and court procedure that affect her clients. The work is detail-oriented, often technical, and demands timely responses. She approaches those demands by organizing client calendars, monitoring deadlines and prioritizing early case assessment.
She currently practices at Blake P. Somers, LLC, representing clients in matters arising under Ohio law.
