About Jagdeep

Jagdeep Sangha earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2016 after completing a Bachelor of Science at the University of Cincinnati in 2012. His academic path combined traditional coursework with practical legal training during law school, and the dates mark a steady progression from undergraduate study to the bar-ready degree. The University of Dayton placed him among peers focused on litigation and transactional skills, and his undergraduate work provided a foundation in analytical thinking.

After law school he moved into legal research work. In 2019 he served as a legal research lawyer at LexisNexis. That role put him squarely in the center of primary-source research, citation analysis and the preparation of research products used by practicing lawyers and editors. The position exposed him to a broad cross-section of legal issues and the standards applied by lawyers and courts when they consult electronic research services.

In 2020 Sangha took a senior associate position at Ernst & Associates. He has remained at the firm since then. The title reflects responsibility for case preparation, drafting substantive filings and collaborating with colleagues on litigation strategy and client advisement. His background in legal research informs his approach to fact analysis and precedent, and it supports the work he does when preparing briefs and other court submissions.

Though his jurisdictions include Ohio, Sangha also holds a license issued by the Supreme Court of Kentucky. That dual orientation allows him to engage on matters that touch both states and to advise clients whose legal exposure crosses the state line. His experience spans research-intensive work and the demands of firm practice, creating a skill set that bridges careful doctrinal study and the practical pressures of deadlines and hearings.

Colleagues describe his work as methodical and attentive to the details that shape arguments and case outcomes. He tends to prioritize clear written work and thorough preparation, whether drafting a memorandum or assembling a motion. Sangha continues to practice at Ernst & Associates, where his work centers on research-driven case development and client representation in matters that involve Ohio and Kentucky jurisdictional issues.
