About Shiobhan
Shiobhan Olivero earned her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 2010, where she studied trial advocacy. Her time at Stetson shaped a practical approach to courtroom work. She carried that practical training into the early years of her career.
She began practicing in Florida soon after law school. In 2011 she served as an assistant public defender, representing clients in criminal matters and gaining front-line trial experience. That same year she taught as an adjunct professor at St. Petersburg College, splitting time between the classroom and the courthouse. She spent part of 2014 at Whittel & Melton before starting her own firm.
In 2015 Olivero launched Olivero Law, P.A. as a vehicle for handling cases and developing a solo practice. The move to private practice followed several years in public defense and a brief stint at a firm. Her background in trial advocacy and criminal defense continued to inform how she managed cases and client expectations.
Over the next decade Olivero broadened her professional activities. She undertook coaching certifications, earning credentials as a Certified Insight Coach in life and success coaching and later as a Certified Divorce Coach. In 2020 she established Rise Above Divorce Coaching, where she serves as owner and coach. Those credentials reflect an added emphasis on supporting clients through transitions outside the courtroom as well as inside it.
Olivero maintains active involvement in professional organizations. She holds membership in the Hillsborough County Bar Association and joined local Inns of Court, including the Goldberg-Cacciatore Inn of Court and the Cheatwood Inn of Court. Since 2019 she has been a member of the Hillsborough County Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. These affiliations track with her public defender roots and ongoing work in criminal matters.
Her resume shows parallel tracks: litigation and client advocacy on the legal side, and coaching and guidance on the personal side. She has continued to teach and mentor, drawing on classroom experience and courtroom practice to advise clients and newer lawyers. Olivero is licensed to practice in Florida and manages her offices through Olivero Law, P.A., while operating Rise Above Divorce Coaching.
She currently practices law in Florida through Olivero Law, P.A., and provides divorce coaching through Rise Above Divorce Coaching.
