About Sheila Grider
Sheila Grider Wahman earned a B.B.A. from Augusta State University in 1993 and later returned to the classroom to complete a J.D. at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School in 2015. Her path to the law included years in public service and a steady accumulation of courtroom experience. The combination of business training and legal education frames the practical approach she brings to her work.
Before earning her law degree, Wahman served as an Associate Magistrate Judge at the Columbia County Magistrate Court in 2008. In that role she worked inside the local court system and handled the day-to-day responsibilities that come with magistrate dockets. The post placed her at the center of routine legal processes and municipal matters, and it gave her a close-up view of how law is applied at the community level.
After completing law school, Wahman joined Fleming and Nelson as a staff lawyer in 2015. She spent time there working through the variety of legal tasks that staff attorneys manage. That position followed immediately after she finished her J.D., marking a shift back into private practice and continued engagement with Georgia’s legal community.
Wahman is admitted to practice in Georgia and maintains professional memberships in bar-related and local associations. She practices under the name Sheila Wahman Law. Her experience spans both judicial service and staff counsel work, giving her clients a perspective shaped by time on the bench and time in practice. She is known for a methodical approach to casework and for handling matters that require attention to procedural detail.
The arc of her career — business undergraduate study, magistrate court service, law school and staff attorney work — has informed the way she runs her practice. Her current practice concentrates on representing clients from across the state through her firm, Sheila Wahman Law.
