About Holly G
Holly G Chapman began her academic life in engineering before turning to law. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2004. Four years later she completed a Juris Doctor at Georgia State University College of Law, finishing law school in 2008.
Her first legal job came soon after law school. In 2009 she joined the Law Office of the Public Defender in the Augusta Circuit. There she tried cases, managed heavy dockets and represented clients facing criminal charges. The public defender role gave her steady courtroom exposure and a practical education in trial work.
Chapman moved into private practice over the next decade. By 2018 she was a partner at Davis, Chapman, and Wilder, LLC. That transition shifted some daily routines, but the trial skills she developed earlier remained central. She continued to handle contested matters and to prepare cases for hearing and trial.
She is licensed to practice in Georgia and has been active in local professional groups. Chapman has belonged to the Young Lawyers of Augusta since 2010. She joined the Augusta Bar Association in 2016 and continues that membership. Those affiliations have kept her connected to the local bench and bar and to peers who practice in the same courts.
Colleagues describe Chapman as a lawyer who prioritizes courtroom readiness and case preparation. Her background in public defense informs how she approaches client advocacy in private practice. She has experience managing cases from initial appearance through disposition or trial, and she brings that courtroom familiarity to client counseling and litigation strategy.
She remains based at Davis, Chapman, and Wilder, LLC, where she is a partner. Chapman practices in Georgia and focuses her work on courtroom litigation and client representation in state matters.
