Mr. Chazin earned his Juris Doctor degree from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco in 1984. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida in Gainesville, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Broadcasting in 1979.

He has represented clients in numerous high-profile cases, achieving favorable outcomes such as acquittals and dismissals. Notably, he successfully defended a client in one of the first MS-13 gang cases to go to trial on the West Coast, resulting in an acquittal based on an entrapment defense.
Mr. Chazin is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Federal Bar Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Meiklejohn Civil Liberties Institute (Board of Directors), the California Public Defenders Association, and the San Francisco County Bar Association.
