Scott Adrian Lewis is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1990. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Lewis is a partner at Perry, Johnson, Anderson, Miller & Moskowitz LLP, a full-service law firm located in Santa Rosa, California. He has been practicing law for over 35 years, serving clients throughout Sonoma County and the surrounding regions.
Mr. Lewis earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1990. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at Sonoma State University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1986. During his time at the University of San Francisco, he worked as a Deputy Sheriff for the County of Sonoma, gaining practical experience in law enforcement.
Mr. Lewis concentrates his practice in civil litigation, focusing on business and employment-related issues, real estate matters, and homeowners association disputes. He has litigated diverse subject areas, including First Amendment rights, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Employment and Housing Act, wage laws, trade secrets, contracts, securities laws, and real property laws. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Lewis has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Sonoma, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to joining Perry, Johnson, Anderson, Miller & Moskowitz LLP, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Santa Rosa for five years.
Mr. Lewis is an active member of the State Bar of California and has been involved in various community organizations. He has served on the Board of Directors for Social Advocates for Youth and has held board positions with West County Community Services and the Police Activities League. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Santa Rosa Junior College, teaching courses in communications, diversity, and law. Mr. Lewis is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Sonoma County effectively.
