About Isaac D

Isaac D Gradman is an attorney who brings a mix of academic training and courtroom discipline to his work in California. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political and Social Thought from the University of Virginia in 2002. That study gave him an early grounding in how political ideas and social structures influence law. He went on to earn his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2005.

After law school he moved into practice in California, where he is admitted to practice. Over the years he has worked at firms that handle a range of civil matters. He has maintained memberships in professional organizations that support continuing legal education and networking among practitioners.

His legal education at NYU sharpened his analytical tools. His undergraduate focus on political and social thought shaped the way he frames legal questions. He approaches cases by identifying the factual stakes first, then sorting through the legal doctrines that matter. That method guides his case preparation and client conversations.

At Perry, Johns, Anderson, Miller & Moskowitz LLP he is part of a team that handles client matters across several civil practice areas. He collaborates with colleagues on research, motions and trial preparation. Colleagues describe him as steady in the courtroom and precise in drafting, traits that clients rely on when deadlines loom or disputes escalate.

His courtroom experience includes appearances in trial courts and filings in appellate proceedings. He has handled discovery disputes, dispositive motions and settlement negotiations. He balances litigation work with the written advocacy that often frames the outcome of a case. He also spends time mentoring junior attorneys at the firm, helping them develop courtroom skills and drafting technique.

Outside the office he follows developments in state and federal law, attending seminars and CLE programs. He reads both legal scholarship and policy analysis, connecting theory to practice. He lives and works in California and practices at Perry, Johns, Anderson, Miller & Moskowitz LLP. His current practice focuses on representing clients through the firm’s civil litigation work in California.
