About Sabahat
Sabahat Pervaiz earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. Her legal education provided training in core areas of law and practice skills common to accredited U.S. law schools. She moved from classroom study to legal practice in Virginia.
Pervaiz is admitted to practice in Virginia. That admission governs where she can appear and advise clients; it is the jurisdiction listed for her professional license. Her academic credentials and bar admission form the foundation of her legal work.
Her early years after law school involved taking the practical steps required of new attorneys. She completed the formalities of bar admission and has navigated the procedural and ethical responsibilities that come with being a licensed lawyer. Over time she developed experience representing clients before state tribunals and in other legal settings appropriate to Virginia practitioners.
Colleagues and clients describe her approach as deliberate and detail oriented. She applies close reading of statutes and careful document preparation to matters she handles. In court settings she has prepared filings and presented arguments consistent with Virginia practice rules. Outside court she has advised clients on the legal implications of their decisions and prepared agreements and other documents to help them achieve their objectives.
Pervaiz’s practice draws on the skills emphasized during her legal education: legal research, writing, client counseling and courtroom procedure. She has continued to refine those abilities through casework in Virginia and through ongoing familiarity with state law developments. Her work requires balancing procedural deadlines with substantive legal analysis, and she attends to both.
Today she works as a practicing attorney in Virginia. Her practice covers state law matters for individuals and organizations, including representation in state tribunals and legal advice on transactional and regulatory questions. She maintains an active law practice in Virginia, handling state-level legal matters for a variety of clients.
