About Ronald R.

Ronald R. Envall has built a legal career that spans more than three decades. He earned a B.A. in Business Administration from the College of St. Scholastica in 1989 and a J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law in 1992. Those credentials set the stage for steady advancement through law firm ranks and long-term participation in Minnesota’s legal community.

He began his practice as an associate at Jardine, Logan & O Brien, P.L.L.P. in 1992. Four years later he moved to Clure, Eaton, Butler, P.A., again as an associate. By 1999 he was a named partner at Cuzzo, Bradt & Envall, P.A., and he has continued in partner roles through several firm transitions: Cuzzo & Envall, P.A. in 2006; LaCourse & Envall, P.A. in 2011; and LaCourse, Poole & Envall, P.A. in 2017. The progression traces a path from junior lawyer to firm leadership over a sustained period.

Envall has maintained active ties to organized bar activity. He has been a member of the Minnesota Association for Justice since 1996. That involvement has kept him connected with statewide developments in trial practice and continuing legal education.

He is admitted to practice in Minnesota and is also admitted to the Eighth Circuit. His courtroom work and appellate filings reflect that dual admission. Colleagues describe him as steady in litigation settings and attentive to procedural detail. He has handled matters that required coordination between trial and appellate strategy. He takes a methodical approach to case preparation and courtroom presentation.

Over the years his practice has been anchored in firm-based litigation. As a partner he has shared responsibility for client intake, case management and mentoring younger lawyers. He has worked on both fact-intensive trials and on appeals that required concise legal briefing. Those elements recur in his work and inform how he manages cases today.

Today he is a partner at LaCourse, Poole & Envall, P.A. He represents clients in Minnesota courts and handles appeals in the Eighth Circuit. His current practice concentrates on litigation and appellate matters in those jurisdictions.
