About Andrew

Andrew Poole earned his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law in 2010. He attended law school in Saint Paul after beginning studies in 2007 and completed his degree at a time when the school was known for balancing practical skills training with doctrinal coursework. The degree set the stage for a career that moved quickly from public service to private practice.

He began his legal career in the public sector. In 2011 he joined the Minnesota Board of Public Defense as a public defender. That role put him in court regularly and gave him early trial experience representing clients facing criminal charges. The public defense work exposed him to heavy caseloads and courtroom procedure at close range.

In 2012 Poole opened Poole Law Office PLLC and began handling cases in private practice. Over the next several years he moved between solo practice and firm work. He later joined Olson, Poole & Envall, P.A. as a partner, taking on responsibilities that included case management and client counseling alongside courtroom appearances. His career path shows a steady shift from government-appointed defense work to a mix of private advocacy and firm partnerships.

Poole is admitted to practice in Minnesota and Wisconsin. He is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Those memberships reflect his ongoing ties to the state bar and the criminal defense community. Colleagues describe him as someone who draws on trial experience gained in public defense while handling matters in private practice.

He has maintained offices under different firm names during his career and currently lists an office at Andrew, Bransky & Poole, P.A. In that setting he balances casework, client advising and courtroom advocacy. The work spans pretrial preparation, hearings and trial representation. He also handles post-conviction matters and collaborative case strategy when cases move toward resolution outside the courtroom.

Poole’s trajectory from a 2011 public defender to a partner in private firms reflects steady professional development. He continues to practice in Minnesota and Wisconsin, representing clients in criminal defense matters and related proceedings.
