About Lucas

Lucas Wynne earned his J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law. He completed a course of study grounded in trial practice, state procedure and client counseling. Classwork and clinic experience shaped his approach to the day-to-day work of running a small law practice.

He practices through Wynne Law. He represents clients in matters arising in Minnesota and North Dakota and appears in state courts in both jurisdictions. Over time he has built a practice that handles a range of civil matters and court appearances. He also advises clients outside of litigation when matters require transactional or pre-litigation planning.

Wynne has maintained membership in professional associations and participates in local bar activities. That involvement keeps him connected to developments in state rules and court procedure. He also draws on contacts across two states when cases require coordinated filings or multi-jurisdictional strategy.

His office structure is regional. Wynne Law operates more than one office location to serve clients in different communities across the two states. That setup allows clients to meet in person when necessary and gives the firm flexibility in scheduling hearings and depositions. Support staff at the offices handle day-to-day client intake and docket management so that court dates and filing deadlines are tracked closely.

Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in the courtroom and straightforward when advising clients about risks and likely outcomes. He favors clear explanations over legalese. In negotiations he seeks practical resolutions that reflect his clients’ priorities. In contested matters he prepares thoroughly and presents evidence methodically at hearings and trials.

Outside the office he remains engaged with continuing legal education and the everyday practice concerns that affect small firms. He keeps current on procedural changes in both Minnesota and North Dakota and adjusts office procedures accordingly. He currently practices through Wynne Law, handling civil matters and court appearances in Minnesota and North Dakota.
